Hi everyone and welcome to my wiki page. On this page I will be displaying my work and sharing with you what I am doing in my reading groups. I hope you find my page interesting and that you like my work!
Now we are learning about making an online quiz. We have to read a picture story book that was used in the previous Star Groups activities, then created a quiz containing 8 questions about the book.
My book that I read is called The Runaway Hug. I hope you like my quiz. Read the book first and have a go!

Quiz Making Reflection
In reading groups, our task was to create an online quiz based on a picture story book. We would display it on our wiki page for visitors to read and complete. We also were asked to generate our quiz into a QR Code. I learnt that QR stood for Quick Response. During the learning process, Mrs N showed us some great quiz making websites and QR Code makers and readers on her iPhone and iPad. We then embedded or linked the quiz onto our wiki page as well as showing our QR code. A QR code is a type of image that can be read or scanned with a certain device (Smartphones, iPad etc.) that is instantly translated into the normal code content. E.g - The QR code below is an example of what a QR code is. If you have a QR code reader, scan it! See where it will take you! THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE!

For my project about Solar Energy, I decided to make a voice over movie with a slideshow of pictures to help me explain what I had learnt. I wanted my project to be different and stand out so that is why I chose do present in that way. I got the idea from watching a little movie exactly like mine about Thomas Edison.
Also in our Reading Group, we have been learning how to speak fluently, clearly, expressively and with volume with clarity when reading or presenting. I thought making a voice over was a perfect way to display what I have learnt.

The first activity we did in this reading group, was creating a talking image on a website called Fotobabble. Each student read a book and had to pick a passage that they would read. We recorded ourselves with a computer microphone and were graded on a little sheet by our peers from 1 - 4 about reading at a moderate speed with clarity, expression and volume. My book is called Highway Girl. It is about a girl and her brother, they are poor and their parents are dead. They want to run away and do something with their life. My passage is above this reflection on my wiki page. I hope you like it!
